Formal Meal (Liver and Brain Event)
Right then boys and girls! Last year we went to Vienna in the city center for our formal meal....and the food was so tasty we've decided to go
back!
It will set you lovely people back a mere £10 per person for two courses, with the option of desert for an extra £4(ask for the desert board on the
night)
The menu choices are as follows;
Starters
Chicken Liver Parfait Served with Chutney
Salmon Gravadlax on Mustard Dill Served with Lemon and Lime Herb
Stilton and Cherry Tomato Tart Served with Pepper Coulis
Roast Quail Glazed with Balsamic and Honey on a Rocket Salad
Creamy Wild Mushrooms with Toasted Brioche
Parma Ham Salad with Mango Puree and Balsamic Reduction
Smoked Salmon and Brococoli Tart served with Basil Oil
Ham Hock and Leek Terrine Served with Pineapple Salsa
Main Course
Shank of Lamb, Black Olive Mash Potato with a Rosemary Jus
Chicken Breast served on Linguini with Pesto and a Spinach Sauce
Homemade Mushroom and Spinach Lasagne
Vienna's Very Own Homemade Burger with Bacon and Cheese served with Chips
Homemade Fish Pie
Half Roasted Aubergine stuffed with Butternut Squash and Spinach
Confit of Duck Leg Served with Savoy Cabbage and Red Wine Jus
Fillet of Salmon with Roasted Fennel on a Creamy Dill Sauce Vienna Sausages and Mash with Red Wine and Thyme Jus
I think you'll all agree this looks rather tasty, right? Now for some details!
I've booked the meal for us to sit down to eat at 7pm so I'll be there from 6pm to meet people in the bar area for drinks before we sit down.
Give me a shout if you need directions and I'll happily provide.
Can everyone who is coming please get your choices to me by the 9th of June at the latest as the restaurant will need to order in enough supplies to
make our meals and require a week to do so. On the money side of things please get your payments to me asap(£10 per person) I'll be about campus most
days or alternatively contact me on 07837720483 to arrange payment.
Friends, loved ones and/or partners are more than welcome and they'll be paying the same price as you lovely members!
One final thing....awards
Frankie has set up voting polls on the rocksoc forums for our end of year awards. If you haven't yet registered please take the time to do so and
have your say! You can also still provide nominations for several awards such as look-a-like and best/worst dj set so feel free to do that too.
Looking forward to hearing from you all with your menu choices by the 9th of june and sad that I won't be able to spend the money you give me on
cds
Oh yeah! As this is a formal meal that means formal wear..get suited and booted guys and gals!
Mike

I assume that's two different meals? If so, I'll have the Suasages and Mash please.

I've finally decided what I want!
Roast Quail Glazed with Balsamic and Honey on a Rocket Salad
Shank of Lamb, Black Olive Mash Potato with a Rosemary Jus
People may forget what you say, people may forget what you do, but they will never forget how you made them feel.

Samesies - I've never even had the opportunity to try quail before!
(I'll pay at the BBQ )
