Joining RockSoc via the Students Union website
1) Go to http://www.su.nottingham.ac.uk and click on create account located on the
right of the page
2) All students EXCEPT nurses/midwives select the first option, nurses/midwives select option two
3) Ensure you have everything on the checklist and enter the following information; Student ID number, date of birth, university email address* and
then create a password for yourself. Click register when done and log in.
*the first part of this will be your SU website username, e.g. if your university email is abc123@nottingham.ac.uk then your username will be
abc123
4) Select/hover over activities on the menu at the top of the page, go to societies and select list of societies
5) Browse A-Z and type Rock into the search filter to save yourself time
6) Pay your £5 and join an awesome society with many benefits for being a member!
Any problems with doing this give us a shout and we'll see if we can help out

As I wrote on the freshers page (I don't want to seem like I keep repeting myself)
I just need to wait for the regestration to go through, as Im a student nurse.
I would like to know if I can come to some of the freshers events even if I'm not a proper member yet? I know it's a bit cheeky...

Not cheeky at all and we'd be more than happy to see you there! See you at the meet and greet on Sunday if you can make it, I'm looking forward to
meeting all the new members of rocksoc properly rather than a quick chat over the freshers fair stall!

Prob wont come tot he mooch bar as I'll be living in town and am rather lazy. The thought of getting to portland from town, then going back to town
for the sal is sounding too much like effort. Can I just meet you all at the sal please? A symptom of the cronically lazy lol.

The SU hates me and won't let me make an account. I have emailed them. Any other suggestions? I wants my Rock City discounts!

Good luck! I was in constant email contact with them last year complaining about the site, about how I couldn't create an account, and how unfit for
purpose it was. They promised to work with me to fix it all, but nothing... I now have an account on the site (eventually), but it doesn't have
permission to join any clubs, and I can't get on the mailing lists, mailing lists I used to be in charge of.
