I'm a touch late to this party, but what the hey.
Name: Tom Dawson
Age + Course 21, just starting second year Zoology. I did my first year at Sutton Bonington doing Animal Science, but managed to
escape. I know nothing of Nottingham though, so am as good as a fresher.
Hobbies I play guitar, have a saxophone that I am trying to learn how to play, a bit of football, gaming and reading.
Music I will listen to most things, enjoy bands from plenty of genres. Primarily I do listen to rock/metal though, with standout
bands being Tool, Faith No More, Nine Inch Nails.
Three Facts
1. I did Guitar Performance at ACM, I'm still bad at playing Guitar.
2. I don't drink, I feel this makes me terrible at being a student.

Age/Course/Year: 19, 1st year Chemistry (with a year in industry)
Living/From: Florence Boot, from the other side of Nottingham, a wee (actually quite big) village called Radcliffe-on-Trent
Hobbies: Music (Listening, watching, playing, writing), Skiing, In-line skating, dabbling in other extreme sports, hanging out, general geeky things

Music Taste: I've gone through a few stages, now it seems to be mostly Progressive Rock and Metal, with bits of Folk thrown in for good measure. My
last.fm top ten from the last six months is: Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Seth Lakeman, Karate, Ayreon, Reel Big Fish, Finntroll, Show of Hands, dredg,
Clutch. Covers a seemingly quite random set of genres, what can I say, I have a pretty weird taste. I also likes me some Folk Metal, Melodeath and
stoner, plus bits and pieces of classic rock and thrash metal. Love Jazz at the right times as well but I don't listen to it anywhere near enough to

Three interesting facts about me:
1. I'm a ski instructor and could probably talk various different skiing topics for hours if given the chance.
2. I have an extremely manly scar under my bottom lip where I was hit by a swing when I was about 4, that's how hardcore my life has been.
3. When getting used to new situations/people I'm usually pretty quiet and shy, but (as people who've known me for any length of time will tell you)
once I do get comfortable it's getting me to shut up that becomes the problem. Or something along those lines.
Personally I'd say that last section is debatably inkeeping with being "interesting" but I really hate having to write things like that. I really
enjoyed the freshers meet on sunday, gonna come along tonight and probably die of alcohol poisoning due to my sever inability to hold my liquor.

Course: English studies. Actually, I'm an erasmus student. As you would probably guess if you hear my awful accent, I'm French. No need to insist, I
know I accumulate handicaps in life.
Accomodation: Sherwood Hall.
Hobbies: Garfield is my lord and master, so mostly sleeping and eating. Also listening to music (of course), reading, geeking (is that a verb?),
drawing, herpetology and, sometimes, partying.
Musical taste: rock, metal, classical music, "chanson française", world music, even some rap, electro and other inclassifiable things. Actually,
everything that can touch me. To give exemples: System of a Down and Serj Tankian, Metallica, Beethoven, Rammstein, older Marilyn Manson,

1. I caught ben Sykes shitting in a bin at a mates flat once it wasnt a prety site
2. I also saw his penis that night it wasnt a prety sight
3. 1/3 countries ive been on holiday to have been invaded by somewhere a year after i went there ... so any countries you dont like buy me a plane
ticket and there is a 1/3 chance it wont be there in a year.

It has dawned on me that I haven't really introduced myself despite being in rocksoc for quite a while now.

My course: Philosophy 2nd year
Hobbies: guitar, gym, music
